Description

The Apollo Theater was built in the period between 1850 – 1900. It functions as a theater and cultural events venue and is located in the center of the city. With its monumental aspect and its elaborate and interesting morphology, it is a typical example of neoclassical architecture of the last quarter of the 19th century. The city of Pyrgos presents a rich historical stock with an abundance of preserved neoclassical buildings but also buildings that have an important architectural dimension, enriching the architectural cultural heritage of the place.
